Career Progression
This portfolio is organized as a progression rather than a disconnected article archive. Each stage builds capabilities required for the next.
Stage 1: Site Reliability Engineering
The foundation is reliable operations: understand system behavior, establish useful telemetry, plan capacity, protect data, and recover predictably.
Key capabilities include metrics, logs, alerting, operational automation, backup and restore, RPO/RTO planning, resource management, and production troubleshooting.

Stage 2: Kubernetes & Cloud-Native Engineering
Kubernetes expands the operational scope from servers to distributed platforms. This stage covers cluster access, workload management, ingress, autoscaling, PKI, secrets, and container security.
Stage 3: Platform Engineering
Platform engineering turns operational knowledge into reusable capabilities for delivery teams. The focus shifts to GitOps, standardized pipelines, multi-cluster control, registries, policy, and infrastructure modules.

Stage 4: AWS Solutions Architecture
Solutions architecture broadens the decision space to business requirements, workload characteristics, security, resilience, integration, migration, and cost. My SRE background provides the operational lens; platform engineering provides repeatability; AWS services provide the architecture building blocks.
